In the same week each year, Australia’s ‘Big Four’ announce their annual results. And while they’re happy to spruik the eye wateringly large dividends they deliver to a minority of Australians, the banks are less keen to discuss where a significant chunk of that money comes from; fees, charges and investments in things like fossil fuels, mining and live animal exports. Silver Lining asked us to come up with a campaign to take advantage of this tactical opportunity. Our solution? Bank Australia would announce its annual results at the same time and in the same way as the ‘Big Four’ banks, but revealing a very different set of priorities on the balance sheet.
